I have a super cute post about seersucker bow ties coming soon. My male model (John!) has been quite busy being on call at work.
So today, I’m writing about my something old, new, borrowed, and blue instead. 🙂 I was excited to incorporate this tradition (especially blue).
I could count my dress from Second Summer Bride in this category, but I like to think my “something old” is my bridesmaids and friends in attendance. Not that they are old age (ha), but some of them I have known for more than 11 years! I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without my oldest and lifelong friends in attendance.
Shoes, veil, dainty jewelry, the list goes on. “Something new” isn’t tooooo hard.
This is my favorite. I saw this idea on Pinterest years ago and always knew I would copy it. I had my seamstress sew a blue heart from one of my dad’s shirts into my dress for my “something blue” and it might just be my favorite part of the gown now!
So, I don’t actually have “something borrowed”, but I did steal some of my mom’s bobby pins to add to my hair as a last resort! Haha. I would still count that!
Have you seen any unique old, new, borrowed, blues? Let me know. 🙂
